We regret to inform you that Dr. John Neufeld will not be at this year's Corn & Apple Festival.  Ben Lowell, CEO of Back to the Bible Canada will be speaking in his place. 

A Tearful Note from Dr. John Neufeld
On August 17, 2024, my beloved wife Kathy, passed through the gates of splendor and into the loving embrace of her Lord and Saviour.  Writing to the Philippians, Paul says, that to depart and be with Christ is better by far.  Her citizenship is in heaven.
Please pray for me and my family.  We are grieving deeply.  But we are confident in the good eternal purposes of God.
The Wiebes
Shane and Angela met during a choir tour in Germany 24 years ago. They married in December 2003, and in 2004 Shane climbed to a top five spot on the hit TV show Canadian Idol, where he had the privilege of working with both Lionel Richie and Gordon Lightfoot. Over the past two decades, The Wiebes have won “Inspirational Album of the Year” three times at the Canadian Gospel Music Awards, sung for millions on television, and even found themselves on Canadian Radio Charts for their hit song, “Christmas with You”.

Originally from Abbotsford, BC and now living in Stratford, Ontario, Shane and Angela have two teenage children, Joelle and Josiah (and yes, they are both incredibly musical too). In their spare time, Shane and Angela are entrepreneurs in the health food and supplements field.

On top of travelling throughout Canada many times, The Wiebes have had the privilege of touring in The United States, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Germany, and even the Caribbean. Most importantly, they’ve been able to share their music and love for Jesus wherever they go.  Their songs of hope and love for God and people will bless you and touch your heart.

Ben Lowell 
​Ben has spent the last 35 years in full time ministry as a Senior Pastor, denominational leader and the last 23 years as leader of two national media ministry organizations including his current responsibility as CEO of Back to the Bible Canada. His heart and passion is found in effectively and passionately communicating the transformational message found in God’s Word, and helping others reach their full potential in Christ. Ben’s greatest earthly treasures are his wife Deb and family, who truly keep him centered on things that are most important in life.
The Color
The Color is a 2x Juno Award winning Christian Contemporary Music Pop Band who grew up here on the prairies.  They have been touring North America for the past 10 years and have a number of songs charting in the Top 50 on Billboard’s CCM Audience Airplay (“Surprise” at #27 and “The Kind of Man” at #42)  They have 20+ GMA Covenant Awards to go along with the 2 Juno Awards for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year (2018 – “First Day of My Life” and 2022 – “No Great Love”)  These small town prairie boys boast an energetic live show and songs that emanate hope.   Find their music on most streaming platforms.

Russ Lee
​Russ Lee's story is one born out of a tumultuous world where drugs, alcoholism and mental illness were all very close and very real. As a teenager, Russ began to see it all unravel, and in a moment of desperation, his cry for help was heard and his life was radically changed through the power and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. 
 
When Russ became a Christian, he surrendered every part of his life and that included his musical gifts. Since that time God has continued to develop him and grow his platform as a speaker and Christian music artist. Russ has 17 top five songs to his credit, 13 of which were #1 songs on CCM radio. He has won numerous songwriting and performance awards, served as a worship pastor and student minister in the local church, been a short term missionary and board member for various mission organizations.
 
In addition to solo concerts and speaking engagements, Russ is lead singer and currently tours with the highly acclaimed music group, "NewSong," where his ministry includes singing, songwriting and sharing the gospel around the world. NewSong is the founder and host of the blockbuster Christian music Tour, “Winter Jam.” Russ Lee has the privilege of singing live in front of hundreds of thousands of people a year, but whether it is in an arena full of people or in a house church on the mission field, Russ believes that everything he does is for the glory of God and a tremendous, undeserved blessing. 
 
Russ recently returned to graduate school where he earned his Masters Degree in Christian Ministries at The Southern Baptist theological seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. 
 
When Russ is not touring with NewSong, doing solo concerts, or speaking as an advocate for ministries which help vulnerable children around the world, Russ enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in ministry with his home church and in his community. His family is truly a priority to him and is closely involved in all he does. He and his wife Mary live in Kentucky USA and have 3 grown children, two of whom are married, and 4 grandchildren.

Dr. John Neufeld
Dr. John Neufeld has been the Bible teacher for Back to the Bible Canada since 2014, and more recently has become the voice of multiple Back to the Bible teaching ministries internationally, including Jamaica and India. He joined Back to the Bible Canada after 30 years of serving in multiple capacities in pastoral ministry. Prior to joining Back to the Bible Canada, he lead one of the largest churches in Canada as Senior Pastor for 15 years.
 
Dr. Neufeld is a graduate of Columbia Bible College (Biblical Studies), the University of Saskatchewan (B.A.), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min.).
 
During his years in ministry, Dr. Neufeld has become known both nationally and internationally for excellence in expositional Bible teaching. He has travelled extensively as a conference speaker and Bible instructor throughout North America and around the world.
 
In his role at Back to the Bible Canada, Dr. Neufeld continues to fulfill his passion for expositional Bible teaching and leading international Bible training conferences. He has authored 3 books, all focused on providing the reader a greater understanding of Biblical truth and its impact upon God’s people. 
 
Indeed, it is Dr. Neufeld’s passion and commitment to verse-by-verse, expositional teaching of the Word that has formed the “hallmark” of his ministry – and what makes his role at Back to the Bible Canada so significant. In his own words, Dr. Neufeld explains, “All of my preaching was born out of a conviction, an unswerving persuasion that the only true preaching is that which seeks only to communicate well and accurately that which God has spoken… I know that the Word of God is living and powerful.”
